The Plan
The Ismaili Centre’s existing halogen stage lighting and aging Helvar dimmer system. The systems were not only energy inefficient but also lacked the flexibility required for the variety of events hosted at the venue. Additionally, their perimeter lighting needed an upgrade to better suit the space.
Our task was clear:
- Replace the outdated stage and house lighting with efficient, modern fixtures.
- Enhance the perimeter lighting to create a cohesive and visually appealing atmosphere.
- Provide a control system with multiple access levels to suit the needs of both casual users and professional technicians.
Ismaili Centre Upgrades
Lighting Upgrade
We replaced the halogen stage lighting with LDR LED stage lighting fixtures in white, designed to illuminate the stage and room uniformly while significantly reducing energy consumption. The perimeter lighting received a modern touch with blue LED tape, adding a stylish accent around the room.
House Light Control
The aging Helvar dimmer system was replaced with a robust Mode unit, bringing new life to the house lighting. This upgrade ensured smooth dimming transitions and reliable performance.
Flexible Control System
The center piece of the installation was the versatile lighting control system:
- Simple Switch Access: A no-fuss solution for quick access, cleaning, and contractor work.
- Basic Computer Control: Perfect for smaller events, allowing easy operation of all lights and functions.
- Advanced Desk Integration: For large-scale events, the system seamlessly integrates with professional lighting desks like ShowCAD and Chamsys, offering technicians full creative control.

The Ismaili Centre now enjoys an energy efficient, user friendly, and highly adaptable lighting setup. With brands like LDR, Chauvet, and our expertly designed control system, they can transition effortlessly between event types.
